Experience the beauty of language

Reach fluency through comprehensible input, using living content that enriches the soul.

Listen, Read, Comprehend.

The persistent problem

Most language learners never reach fluency. We think the problem isn't effort — it's the method. Many apps base themselves off plausible ideas or gimmicks that give a sense of achievement: memorizing vocabulary, studying grammar, and gamification. The result? People study for years, never reach fluency, and assume it must be only attainable for the highly gifted.

The real solution

LangFontes takes a different approach. It's built on a foundation of linguistic theory and experiences of real people (including the founder) who have actually reached fluency. We have one north star: enable learners to achieve fluency in the fewest number of hours possible.

Our mission The mission of LangFontes is to give birth to a linguistic renaissance to advance global human flourishing. Read the mission →

How it works

  1. Comprehensible input It turns out, the most effective way to go from zero-to-fluent is to consume content that genuinely interests you, with an efficient mechanism to make the words and sentences understandable. Languages are not learned like an algorithm, they are absorbed through exposure coupled with comprehension.
  2. Learn from your favorite content No silly stories, random sentences, or clicking on pictures. Import content you're passionate about, always with text and audio.
  3. An elegant interface designed for maximum efficiency. Hover on a word to see the contextual translation, see a sentence's translation right next to it, sensible audio shortcuts, no clicking required.
